Transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) is a surgical procedure, originally developed as a hybrid between Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEM) and single-site laparoscopic surgery for rectal lesions. It was developed that it could be both affordable and technically achievable without the need for expensive equipment. TaTME combines the TAMIS and transabdominal approaches in order to achieve TME (Total Mesorectal Excision).
Today Operating Room Systems can supply the comprehensive surgical devices demanded carrying our TAMIS and TATME procedures. Along with a quality multi-access anal port platform, we can supply the surgical teams’ requirements for the necessary Scopes and Optics, together with innovative instrument configurations for electrocautery, dissection, and needle holders.
Operating Room Systems is the sole provider of the Lexion CO2 management systems that has specific modalities for TAMIS and TATME procedures that will deliver the surgeons’ requirement for smoke extraction and importantly tissue stability, vital in performing endoluminal rectal surgery.
